Art is such a personal statement for me. And while I often blog of pretty pieces from various artists, the art in my home has to speak to me and the person I am. I recently purchased the print below titled "Bobbi" from The Pairabirds Etsy Shop.
It said so much to me when I saw it. Pride...beauty...conformity vs. eccentricity. I had to meet the artist behind the art, and through the power of the internet I got that opportunity.
Tabitha Bianca Brown is the artist behind The Pairabirds. What started as an means of expression for a bashful youngster has developed into quite an expressive and impressive portfolio. Through a fusion of retro and mod, she manages to take us back to a powerful time when life was good and controversial while still maintaining the style of today that is both modern and friendly.
Inspired by a musical era that practically defined a culture, Tabitha's background is her art. Just feeling the mood from these prints makes one yearn for the opportunity to have seen life through the eyes of the young girl that grew to paint like this.
